56 million litres of drinking milk produced in May
55.5 million litres of drinking milk were produced in May 2024.
The major part of it (29.8 million litres, or 53.6%) was semi-skimmed milk. Whole milk represented 36.2% of total production, skimmed milk 6.4% and buttermilk 3.8%.
In addition, 10.9 million litres of milk drinks and chocolate milk were produced, as well as 22.4 million litres of cream, 29.3 million litres of fermented milk and yoghurt, 21,852 tonnes of milk powder, 11,916 tonnes of cheese and 6,015 tonnes of traditional butter.
Please note: due to the reform of milk and milk products statistics in 2013, the figures are not comparable with previous years.

Dairy statistics show the quantity of milk and cream collected from dairy farms and the products thereof (cow’s milk on a monthly basis, other than cow’s milk on an annual basis).
