52 million litres of milk produced in May

52.1 million litres of milk were produced in May 2021. The major part of it (30 million litres, or 57.7%) was semi-skimmed milk.

Whole milk accounted for 36.5% of the total production and skimmed milk for 5.8%.

Besides, 10.6 million litres of chocolate milk were produced, as well as 22.5 million litres of cream, 24.7 million litres of fermented milk, 4.5 million litres of yoghurt, 9,706 tonnes of cheese and 8,670 tonnes of butter (farm butter and blended butter).

Dairy statistics show the quantity of milk and cream collected from dairy farms and the products thereof (cow’s milk on a monthly basis, other than cow’s milk on an annual basis).
