48 million litres of drinking milk produced in July

47.5 million litres of drinking milk were produced in July 2023.

The major part of it (26.7 million litres, or 56.3%) was semi-skimmed milk. Whole milk represented 34.6% of total production, skimmed milk 5.2% and buttermilk 3.9%.

In addition, 12.2 million litres of milk drinks and chocolate milk were produced, as well as 21.1 million litres of cream, 25.8 million litres of fermented milk and yoghurt, 18,693 tonnes of milk powder, 10,122 tonnes of cheese and 6,262 tonnes of butter. (farm butter and blended butter).

Dairy statistics show the quantity of milk and cream collected from dairy farms and the products thereof (cow’s milk on a monthly basis, other than cow’s milk on an annual basis).
