59 million litres of drinking milk produced in January 2024

59.2 million litres of drinking milk were produced in January 2024.

The major part of it (31.7 million litres, or 53.5%) was semi-skimmed milk. Whole milk represented 37.1% of total production, skimmed milk 5.7% and buttermilk 3.7%.

In addition, 14.8 million litres of milk drinks and chocolate milk were produced, as well as 23.8 million litres of cream, 28.2 million litres of fermented milk and yoghurt, 20,477 tonnes of milk powder, 10,768 tonnes of cheese and 6,084 tonnes of traditional butter.

Dairy statistics show the quantity of milk and cream collected from dairy farms and the products thereof (cow’s milk on a monthly basis, other than cow’s milk on an annual basis).
