The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in industry amounted to 89.05 in second quarter 2020. This represents a decrease of 13.0% compared to second quarter 2019.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in construction amounted to 86.48 in second quarter 2020. This represents a decrease of 15.5% compared to second quarter 2019.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in trade and repair amounted to 80.84 in second quarter 2020. This represents a decrease of 21.1% compared to second quarter 2019.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in services amounted to 88.49 in second quarter 2020. This represents a decrease of 22.8% compared to second quarter 2019.

The figures for second quarter 2020 are provisional.

“Hours paid for” are generally the hours actually worked plus the hours paid for but not worked, such as paid annual leave, paid public holidays, paid sick leave, paid meal breaks and time spent travelling between the home and the workplace.
