The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in industry amounted to 99.96 in second quarter 2021. This represents an increase of 13.4% compared to second quarter 2020.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in construction amounted to 103.85 in second quarter 2021. This represents an increase of 20.1% compared to second quarter 2020.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in trade and repair amounted to 98.79 in second quarter 2021. This represents an increase of 22.4% compared to second quarter 2020.

The index of seasonally adjusted of the number of hours worked in services amounted to 111.57 in second quarter 2021. This represents an increase of 23.2% compared to second quarter 2020.

“Hours paid for” are generally the hours actually worked plus the hours paid for but not worked, such as paid annual leave, paid public holidays, paid sick leave, paid meal breaks and time spent travelling between the home and the workplace.
