The demography of enterprises with employees in the market sector (or demography of employers in the market sector) provides information on the activity, the employment and the legal form of enterprises with at least 1 employee during the reference year in Belgium. It is a subset of active enterprises (LINK). The methodology is the same. This statistic also provides births and deaths in Belgium. It should be noted that a birth here does not necessarily correspond to a birth in the demography of enterprises, because an enterprise can be active during a year T and have employees only several years later (T+k). In that case, it is only in T+k that it will be considered as a birth in the demography of employers. For the last year, the figures on deaths are provisional.
