The gross index of the number of employees in trade and repair amounted to 104 in the second quarter of 2022. This represents an increase of 1.0% compared to the second quarter of 2021.

The gross index of the number of employees in services amounted to 123.07 in the second quarter of 2022. This represents an increase of 4.5% compared to the second quarter of 2021.

The gross index of the number of persons employed in industry without construction amounted to 104.24 in the second quarter of 2022. This represents an increase of 1.9% compared to the second quarter of 2021.

Purpose and brief description

The index of the number of people in employment is based on ONSS figures (for employees for whom ONSS is paid) and INASTI figures (INASTI: National Institute for the Social Security of the Self-employed). (Includes the self-employed and assistants who are not liable for ONSS).

Population

Enterprises affiliated to ONSS or INASTI that practise their economic activity in NACE Rev. sections B to N (Industry, construction, retail trade and services).

Frequency

Quarterly.
