The gross index of the number of employees in construction amounted to 99.69 in the third quarter of 2025. This represents a decrease of 0.5% compared to the third quarter of 2024.

The gross index of the number of employees in trade and repair amounted to 100.14 in the third quarter of 2025. This is the same value as in the third quarter of 2024. There was no change from the previous year.

The gross index of the number of employees in services amounted to 107.9 in the third quarter of 2025. This represents an increase of 0.1% compared to the third quarter of 2024.

The index of the number of people in employment is based on ONSS figures (for employees for whom ONSS is paid) and INASTI figures (INASTI: National Institute for the Social Security of the Self-employed). (Includes the self-employed and assistants who are not liable for ONSS).

Population

Enterprises affiliated to ONSS or INASTI that practise their economic activity in NACE Rev. sections B to N (Industry, construction, retail trade and services).
