In November 2022, the number of VAT-registered enterprises increased by 0.3% compared to October, with only 3,750 more units.
This figure is the result of 7,994 new enterprises (first registrations), 854 re-registrations and 5,098 de-registrations.
The three sectors with the most significant increases this month are professional, scientific and technical activities (+867), construction (+666) and human health and social work activities (+415).
First registrations
In November 2022, first registrations increased by 2.7% in all sectors compared to November 2021. That is 212 more births than last year.
Re-registrations
As for re-registrations, all sectors combined, we observe a 2,3% increase compared to last year, or 19 more enterprises.
De-registrations
In November 2022, the number of de-registrations is 11% higher than in November 2021, or 504 more units.
Evolution of the population of VAT-registered units
In November 2022, we observe a 4.3% growth of the VAT-registered population over a year. The total population of VAT-registered units increased by 49,889 units compared to November 2021 and amounts to 1,146,673 enterprises.
