Slight decrease in turnover in the 2nd quarter of 2019

The turnover of enterprises in Belgium, excluding agricultural and financial sectors, amounted to 332,7 billion euros during the second quarter of 2019, i.e. a 0,13 % decrease compared to the same period the year before. This decrease is mostly explained by a large drop of turnover from trade in electricity and gas. In almost all other economic sectors turnover is however increasing. The turnover increases in the sectors construction, accommodation and food service activities as well as information and communication services.
