Economic indicators
In March 2020, the lockdown measures due to the Covid-19 crisis had a significant impact on the industrial production. The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index decreased by 12.5 % compared to February 2020. The calendar adjusted index reflected a decrease of 12.6 % compared to March 2019.
The results for March 2020 are provisional. As the response rate to the monthly survey is lower than usual, larger revisions of the indices can be expected over the next two months.
