The turnover of enterprises in Belgium, excluding agricultural and financial sectors, amounted to 405.6 billion euros in the first quarter 2025, i.e. a 2.1% increase compared to the same period the year before.
In most economic sectors monitored in this statistic, we recorded turnover increases in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period of 2024. The largest turnover increases are recorded in the sectors “F Construction” (+8.5%), “D Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply” (+8.1%) and “J Information and communication” (+6.9%).
The turnover decreased in 3 sectors. In order of importance in terms of turnover, these are the sectors “C Manufacturing” (-0.4%), “R Arts, entertainment and recreation” (-2.8%) and “B Mining and quarrying” (-11.9%).
The results for the first quarter 2025 are provisional. These results can be revised when additional data become available.
