Open Data: living conditions are available

Statbel, the Belgian statistical office, provides some of its statistics on living conditions in open data.

These data are the quarterly monitoring indicators of living conditions (2021-2022) and risk of poverty or social exclusion (2019-2022). How to get there:

As a reminder, last March, Statbel headlined: Belgians experience increasing difficulties in making ends meet.

While in the third quarter of 2021, 35.7% of Belgians declared that they were struggling to make ends meet, this figure rose to 46.7% in the fourth quarter of 2022.

It is striking that the number of Belgians struggling to make ends meet has been steadily increasing in recent quarters.

Thanks to these open data on living conditions, you can access and reuse our statistics as you wish.

Open data are non-personal public data that are computerised, meet open format standards and can be reused free of charge. Anyone can use these open data free of charge, for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Statbel has been making open data available since 2015. This currently concerns more than 500 files and the offer is gradually being expanded.
