The number of VAT-registered enterprises remains stable in June

In June 2022, the number of VAT-registered enterprises remained stable compared to May, with only 41 more units.

This figure is the result of 6,105 new enterprises (first registrations), 609 re-registrations and 6,673 de-registrations.

The three sectors with the most significant increases this month are human health and social work activities (+255), information and communication (+101) and professional, scientific and technical activities (+93).

The sectors of wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, of other service activities and of accommodation and food service activities register decreases of 467, 180 and 90 units, respectively.

First registrations

In June 2022, first registrations decreased by 9.2% in all sectors compared to June 2021. That is 615 fewer births than last year.

Re-registrations

As for re-registrations, all sectors combined, we observe a 31.0% decrease compared to last year, or 274 fewer enterprises.

De-registrations

In June 2022, the number of de-registrations is 12.6% higher than in June 2021, or 749 units.

Evolution of the population of VAT-registered units

In June 2022, we observe a 4.9% growth of the VAT-registered population over a year. The total population of VAT-registered units increased by 52,949 units compared to June 2021 and amounts to 1,126,635 enterprises.
