Increase of the overall agricultural index between January and February 2023

Between January and February, the overall agricultural index gained 4.4%. The index for animals and animal products (+2.5%) was driven by the 16.3% increase in producer prices for pigs. This increase makes up for the decrease in milk price (-8.5%). After reaching a peak in 2022, the dairy market has been declining since early 2023.

Finally, the agricultural plant index decreases by 1.6% and the horticultural index gains 11.7%.
