At the end of September, 966,216 VAT-registered enterprises were active in Belgium, of which 45.7 % were natural persons, and 54.3 % were legal persons.
Compared to August, the number of first registrations has sharply increased in September, while this increase was much less significant in the same period last year.
The sharp increase in the number of start-ups in September is mainly due to the substantial increase in the number of first VAT registrations in the Flemish Region.
