806 tonnes of fish landed in June

In June, the quantity of fish landed by Belgian vessels and sold in Belgian ports has decreased to 806 tonnes.

The landing of sole has decreased to 166 tonnes, but still accounts for a fifth of the quantity landed. Landings of plaice account for 30 % (245 tonnes) and ray for 8 % (67 tonnes).

Sole, which was worth € 13.3 per kilo in June, accounts for 56 % of the total value, and plaice for 14 %. Monkfish accounts for 5 % of the value, due to a landing of 21 tonnes and an average price of € 9.85 per kilo.
