2.4% decrease in the agricultural output price index

For the overall agricultural index, the year ended with December down by 2.4% compared to November and by 2.8% compared to December 2023.

Between 2023 and 2024, the overall agricultural index decreased by 0.8%. The plant index fell by 2.4% following the decrease in the indices for cereals and sugar beet. The producer price index for animals is driven upwards by the cattle index (+8.1%), but lost points on the pig market, where the index went down by 9.5%. Finally, the animal product index gained 6.5% thanks to the rise in milk prices.
