
During the week from 8 to 14 January included (week 2), the business courts pronounced 145 bankruptcies, resulting in a total of 666 job losses.
The figures for week 2 reveal an increase in the number of bankruptcies and job losses compared to the previous week.
During the first 2 weeks of 2024, the business courts pronounced 276 bankruptcies. This figure is 8.3% lower than in the first 2 weeks of 2023 and 16.0% higher than in the same weeks of 2022.
Job losses amount to 972 in 2024, a decrease of 64.2% compared to 2023 but an increase of 70.5% compared to 2022.
It is recalled that this particularly high number of job losses in 2023 was mainly due to the bankruptcy of a large enterprise in the trade sector.
