140 bankruptcies in week 18

During the week from 1 to 7 May included (week 18), the business courts pronounced 140 bankruptcies, resulting in a total of 279 job losses.

So the figures for week 18 reveal a decrease in the number of bankruptcies and job losses compared to the previous week.

During the first 18 weeks of 2023, the business courts pronounced 3,495 bankruptcies. This figure is 11.3% higher than in the first 18 weeks of 2022 and 5.6% lower than in the same weeks of 2019.

Job losses amount to 10,942 in 2023, an increase of 40.3% compared to 2022 and of 3.5% compared to 2019.
