During the week from 4 to 10 April included (week 14), the business courts pronounced 139 bankruptcies, resulting in a total of 290 job losses.
So the figures for week 14 reveal a decrease in the number of bankruptcies and job losses compared to the previous week.
Every year, during the spring holidays, the number of bankruptcies tends to be lower and even more so during the week following Easter.
During the first 14 weeks of 2022, the business courts pronounced 2,495 bankruptcies. This figure is 47.7% higher than in the first 14 weeks of 2021.
Job losses per bankruptcy are 22.1% lower in 2022 than in the previous year. During the first 14 weeks of 2022, 2.47 jobs were lost per bankruptcy while this ratio amounted to 3.17 in the same period in 2021.
