119 bankruptcies in week 2

During the week from 11 to 17 January included (week 2), the business courts pronounced 119 bankruptcies, resulting in a total of 250 job losses. Both the number of bankruptcies and job losses increase compared to week 1. But on an annual basis, so compared to week 2 of 2020, the number of bankruptcies is lower.  

This is what emerged from the weekly bankruptcy figures produced by Statbel based on the orders of business courts. These interim weekly estimates make it possible to quickly observe the first trends.
