Producer prices in the poultry sector on the rise in February

The overall agricultural index increased by 3.2% between January and February. In the horticultural sector, the producer price index for apples and pears fell by 12.7% and 11.1% respectively, compared to the previous month. In general, the index fell for fruit and vegetables and rose for inedible products. At the agricultural level, we note the increase of the index of vegetable products driven by the increase in the prices of ware potatoes (+21.6%) and the increase of the index for animals. The prices observed in the poultry sector stand out with a monthly growth of 6.2% for the poultry index and 7.3% for the egg index.
