Increase of the producer price index for greenhouse vegetables

In July 2021, the overall agricultural and horticultural price index was 35.4% higher than in July 2020. The indices for vegetables and potatoes explain this increase.

It is especially the indices for greenhouse vegetables that have risen and returned to a level similar to that of 2015, the base year: +76.2% compared to July 2020 and +33.2% compared to June 2021. The potato index, for its part, had fallen sharply in July of last year and this year has returned to a level comparable to previous years.

Finally, for animals, we note, compared to the previous month, a decrease in the index for pigs (-8.4%) and poultry (-0.8%) and an index for cattle which remains relatively stable (+0.2%).
