9,645 births in October

In October 2020, there were 9,645 births in Belgium: 5,376 in Flanders, 2,981 in Wallonia and 1,288 in the Brussels-Capital Region.

Over the first nine months of the year, 96.763 babies were born in Belgium. This is a 0.2% decrease compared to the same period last year. At regional level, we observe an increase of 1.1% in Flanders and a decrease of 1.0% in Wallonia and 3.5% in the Brussels-Capital Region.
