The first impacts of the Covid-19 crisis are mainly visible since April. They continue in May, but in a less pronounced manner:
There are 25 % fewer first registrations than 12 months ago (the variation compared to 2019 was 39 % for April).
Re-registrations are still decreasing this month, with no real impact on the total population (because of the low number of re-registrations).
As for de-registrations, they are still 34 % lower than in May 2019. This is mainly due to the significant number of de-registrations observed last year at the same period. Compared to previous years, the number of de-registrations remains within normal values (slightly lower than the figures observed in 2017 for example). Despite the crisis, the total population of VAT-registered enterprises continues to grow normally.
