In July 2022, the number of VAT-registered enterprises increased by 4,935 units compared to June.
This figure is the result of 10,533 new enterprises (first registrations), 1,329 re-registrations and 6,927 de-registrations.
There has been an increase in all sectors. The three sectors with the largest increases this month are professional, scientific and technical activities (+895), human health and social work activities (+688) and construction (+591).
First registrations
The number of first registrations decreased by 2.8% in July 2022 compared to July 2021. That is 304 fewer creations than last year.
Re-registrations
As for re-registrations, all sectors combined, we observe a 3.8% decrease compared to last year, or 53 fewer enterprises.
De-registrations
In July 2022, the number of de-registrations increased by 7.5% compared to July 2021, an increase of 483 units.
Evolution of the population of VAT-registered units
The month of July 2022 shows a growth of 4.8% in the VAT-registered population on an annual basis. The total VAT-registered population increased by 52,109 units compared to July 2021, to 1,131,570 enterprises.
