Enterprises
The turnover of enterprises in Belgium, excluding agricultural and financial sectors, amounted to 313,3 billion euros during the first quarter of 2020, i.e. a 4% decrease compared to the same period the year before.
In the first quarter of 2020, the lockdown measures due to the Covid-19 crisis had a negative impact on turnover in most economic sectors. The most important decreases of turnover were registered for accommodation and food service activities, in manufacturing and in production and supply of electricity and gas.
The results for the first quarter of 2020 are provisional. These results can be revised when additional data becomes available.
