61,289 bovine animals were slaughtered in April 2020. The number of slaughtered pigs was 836,983 animals, and the number of slaughtered chickens amounted to 26,740,843.units.

In 2019, 25.66 million animals were slaughtered on a monthly basis. That is what emerged from the slaughtering figures for 2019 published by Statbel, the Belgian statistical office.
