17% increase of the overall agricultural index in June

In June 2021, the overall agricultural and horticultural index increased by 17.4% compared to May. Between May and June 2020 the increase was twice as high (+39.3%). In the middle of the year, the producer price index is influenced by the arrival of early potatoes, whose prices at the beginning of the season are generally higher than later on. The index of root crops allows the agricultural index to rise by 46.1% and explains the increase in the overall index. Horticultural products, on the other hand, saw a decline of 24.8%.
