135 bankruptcies in week 11

During the week from 15 to 21 March included (week 11), the business courts pronounced 135 bankruptcies, resulting in a total of 371 job losses. So the number of bankruptcies has remained particularly stable for the last 7 weeks.

During the first eleven weeks of 2021, the business courts pronounced 1,330 bankruptcies. This figure is 43% lower than in the first eleven weeks of 2020. However, job losses per bankruptcy are 21.5% higher in 2021 than in the previous year. So during the first eleven weeks of 2021, there were 2.45 job losses per bankruptcy while this ratio amounted to 2.01 in the same period in 2020.
