Enterprises
At the end of July 2020, 1,033,391 VAT-registered enterprises were active in our country, i.e. 3.6 % more than the year before.
New registrations for this period are up 10.6% compared to July 2019. This is mainly due to the increase in new registrations in Flanders and Wallonia. The trend is opposite in Brussels (-11.7%).
The decline in de-registrations compared to 2019 has been continuing since March 2020, and re-registrations are also up compared to July 2019 (+11.4%).
For the moment, the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on the number of VAT-registered enterprises is still not visible using these variables alone.
